Chocolate Treacle Stout

I did this bank holiday Monday evening 5/5/08, i ended up with 25L at 1056. Just like the last time i did this recipe the fermentation has proven to be aggressive. Even in a 33 L fermenter it managed to escape all over my fermentation cupboard

2.08 kg pale malt
3 kg mild ale malt
470 grams roasted barley
248 grams torrefied wheat
165 grams chocolate malt

25 grams northdown 7.9% 60 mins
35 grams fuggles 5% 60 mins
25 grams ek goldings 60 mins
300 grams black treacle 20 mins
mash at 68 c for 60 mins

How did this turn out? Might try this or Vossy's oatmeal stout next.

It's amazing but to be honest i don't have a lot of experience with stout so maybe try Vossys stout first and do this aswell lol and put them both away for the crimbo and you can be the judge!! By the way i love your blog, keep it up
