Fugglite

This recipe is the brainchild of Gordon Lucey, i'm just borrowing it for the day :-) Thanks Gordon. The only thing i changed was the yeast because i've grown to hate S-04, Also i didn't bother with any pictures because i'm lazy

70g First Gold 6.2% 60 mins
70g Fuggles 3.8% 15 mins
100g Fuggles steeped @ 80c for 30 mins

I brewed this today

East Of Nelson 50L

11 kg Maris Otter

Nelson Sauvin 11.3% 60 mins 50g
EKG 5.7% 30 mins 70g
EKG 5.7% 10 mins 50g
Will definitely dry hop the kegs but i'm considering dry hopping the fv as well

finished article



Well i finally got my brewery finished and here is a picture of it. I hope to run a brew through it next week, if i do i'll be sure to update the blog. It's to easy to forget to keep this up to date.

I haven't had time to update my blog lately but i have been brewing away and more important i've been building my HERMS brewery which i hope to be fully operational by Christmas. This is just a pic to give anybody who's interested an idea how it's going to look when it's done.

15G Nelson Sauvin 13.3% 30 mins
32G Saaz 3% 30 mins
Ph 5.2 in the mash
mashing at 66c instead of 68c

Cascade Stout

I did this on August 16th and it was kegged yesterday with the remainder been bottled.
4.5 kg Maris Otter
250g black malt
500g roasted barley
250g chocolate
Ph 5.2

55g cascade 6.8% 60 mins
30g fuggles 4.1% 15 mins

Lazy day beer

4 kg Maris Otter
360 g Crystal
230 Carapils
250 g Carahell

49 g East Kent Goldings 4.2% 60 mins
49 g East Kent Goldings 4.2% 15 mins
60 g East Kent Goldings 4.2% added during cooling at 80 degrees, cooler turned off for 30 mins

Also i used ph 5.2 in the mash for the first time

Wyeast #1028 London Ale
